About the Role

PURPOSE OF THE CLASSIFICATION: Responsible for the participation of and oversight of semi-skilled and skilled

maintenance and construction work involving the City water distribution system. ESSENTIAL TASKS: Operates hand tools,

power tools, light trucks, and small equipment. Oversees and participates in the operation and maintenance of the water

distribution system. Performs lead work and directs and participates with a group of workers involved in a wide variety

of planned and scheduled maintenance activities including operating small to medium equipment. Performs special worksite

and traffic setup. Performs hydrostatic and bacteriological testing of new water lines. Locates water lines for
