About the Role
What You Can Expect
As a Steamfitter, you will work across the University of Iowa main campus in Iowa City and the satellite campus in
Oakdale. You will perform preventive maintenance and repair services on utility distribution piping systems that support
steam, domestic water, heating hot water, and chilled water for cooling. Campus systems include direct buried and
tunneled distribution infrastructure, along with sanitary and storm sewer systems.
A typical day includes preventive maintenance and repair of utility distribution piping systems and servicing department
