About the Role
divh2Power Plant Operator I/h2pServes as assistant Operator at the Electrical Generating Plant. Under direct supervision
will start and stop generating units; control, operate, and maintain auxiliary equipment. Under supervision will make
adjustments and minor repairs to electrical motors, pumps, and other related equipment; reads meters and logs them; does
yard work; keeps the Plant clean; fabrication as needed; helps other Departments as required. High School graduate or
equivalent; some experience with machinery similar to Power Plant equipment; knowledge of basics of electricity
preferred; basic knowledge of computers; be able to obtain Method 9 Opacity certification; must have an industrious
