About the Role
PROSTHETIC AND ORTHOTIC TECHNICIAN
The Prosthetic and Orthotic Technician is responsible for fabricating prostheses for people with limb absence. The
technician fabricates the device to provide maximum fit, function, cosmetics and workmanship. The technician also
repairs the prosthetic devices as needed. They are expected to keep abreast of new fabricating techniques, must be
familiar with the properties of pertinent materials, and must be skilled in the use of appropriate equipment.
This work environment will be away from the exam room, typically in a small workshop. Since this role is focusing
