About the Role

PURPOSE OF THE CLASSIFICATION: Performs highly skilled maintenance work in the operation, installation, maintenance and

repair of electrical and mechanical equipment in the water or wastewater treatment plant, at various types of lift

stations and/or at pump stations. ESSENTIAL TASKS: Repairs and services pipe fittings, electrical and electronic

equipment including electric pumps, compensators, starters, electrical monitoring systems, controllers, switch gears,

generators, boilers, thermostats, chemical feed systems and related equipment. Pulls and repair electric motors, pumps,

mechanical sweep arms, rebuild gear boxes, motor controls. Operates plant, lift station and/or pumping stations,
