About the Role

The Kalihi Valley Instructional Bike Exchange is catered towards low-income children and youth ages 5-18, fostering safe

spaces and mentorship. They include hands-on education on bicycle mechanics, urban gardening, life mentoring and civic

engagement. The program teaches healthy living, cultivates stable relationships, enhances resilience, success in school

and the workforce, and fosters long-term goals.

Member Duties : The VISTA will help support KVIBE’s various activities that combat poverty by promoting education in

health, culture, and the land. The VISTA will assist with: (1) updating and revising educational curriculum covering
