About the Role

FILTRATION OPERATOR

Under the supervision of the Senior Filtration Operator and/or Executive Director/Director of Utilities, the incumbent

operates treatment plant equipment and instrumentation to purify and clarify water for human consumption and industrial

use. Performs Lab Technician work. Monitors and adjusts controls to regulate flow rates, chemical feed rates, water tank

and storage levels. Operates and maintains all treatment plant valves that regulate water through filtration process.

Works with Preston Water Company involving the pump houses. Collects samples of water for laboratory analysis and
