About the Role

JOB SUMMARY: Under close supervision of a higher classified employee, this position is responsible for assisting in the

appraisal of real and personal property within the County in compliance with Colorado statutes. Responsibilities include

but are not limited to, assessing assigned properties using mass-appraisal techniques, preparing defenses of appraisals,

and maintaining all records, reports, and files on such properties. PRINCIPAL JOB DUTIES: Assess the value of assigned

properties for ad valorem taxes using mass appraisal techniques, including physically inspecting the property and

evaluating all pertinent data (e.g., market value, location, and building or replacement costs). Prepare and maintain
